Job Description
The Business Developer will be responsible for developing new business and handling all elements of the lifecycle of capture. Effective candidates must have an established track record of helping to secure government contracts for small companies. To create sales plans, priorities, and tactics, the Company Developer will collaborate closely with the sales manager and owner.
Responsibilities
Researching, defining, and analyzing possibilities using instruments such as FPDS, USA Expenditure, Betas AM, GovWin, projections of agencies, etc.
Monitoring all efforts related to responding to Requests for Proposals (RFPs), Information Requests (RFIs), Sources Requested, etc.
Cold calling on the establishment of partnerships and learning about the agency through contracting officers.
Developing pricing practices to guarantee that we are competitive.
As the company's face, attending conventions, association meetings, and other networking activities.
To find potential opportunities as early as possible in the sales cycle, using your expertise, experience, relationships, and other tools.
Requirements
Own all things related to company growth and capture (i.e., the buck stops with you).
In your field of expertise, constantly educate yourself and be the smartest person in the room.
Be a problem-solver that is logical and creative; think beyond the box.
Design and enforce structures and standards to ensure that processes are carried out across the enterprise uniformly, reliably, and effectively.
Focus more on activities that involve the creation of relationships, cognition, or technical skills and less on those that are mundane, delegating the latter to others.
Manage, guide, and train other employees who can help you with your operations.

Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree
5+ years of experience in federal government capture or business development
Excellent verbal and written communication
Must have a solid understanding of the federal procurement process
Extensive knowledge of federal procurement databases
